Cousin's Cafe
“Always Served Family Style"
Scare Trail-
If you have heard the stories of Sissy, Papi, Uncle Jed, and the rest of the family, you should be dying to meet their cousins! The cousins, having been evicted from New Orleans, are now taking refuge here, far from the law and the whispers of their past.
But no one escapes who they truly are. The Cousins Café itself is a crumbling structure in a strip mall that seems to have grown out of the bayou itself. Inside, the air is thick with the smell of crawfish boiling and something foul. The walls are lined with faded photographs and a jukebox from a bygone era. As you step inside, Mammaw will reveal the family’s brutal past. Explore the stories from Louisiana and their legacy of carnage. The cousins are everywhere. You will hear the sharp sound of knives against bone and the cracking of hungry gator jaws. Some say they’ve cleaned up their act, but you can take the family out of the bayou yet the mania will remain. It runs in their blood, as deep as the murky waters. It becomes clear that the family’s old habits die…slowly.
But one thing’s for sure—the cousins don’t just cook soul food; they serve up something much darker.
-And you might find yourself on the menu before the night is through.

Templar’s Toy King
"Enter the Mall of Madness"
Scare Trail -
As urban explorers, you slip into Templar’s Toy King, an anchor store that leads into a decaying mall. It feels like time has stood still here, a strange unease settles in as you pass through the aisles, but your curiosity pushes you deeper into the mall.
Soon, the silence breaks. Figures shuffle through the darkened stores—familiar faces twisted into soulless, savage versions of themselves. The mall’s workers, turned into mindless monsters by The Landlord, stare at you with hollow eyes, urging you to join them in their endless, mechanical routines. Their bodies are more distorted the longer they have gone without their souls, their movements more jerky and unnatural. His monstrous creations force you to “shop ‘til you drop,” trapping you in a never-ending cycle of debt. The more you wander, the more you lose.
-And if you’re not careful, you’ll become just another forgotten soul in his twisted collection.

Rancid Rentals
"Reel to Real"
Scare Trail -
In a dusty corner of a strip mall sits a small, unassuming video store. The shelves are lined with old VHS tapes, their cases yellowed and faded. There’s a strange aura to the place, something both nostalgic and deeply unsettling. The store owner seems to know just what you’re looking for—even if you don’t. The titles are weird mismatched genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Western, Horror. It doesn’t matter what you pick. You’ll be sucked into a world that’s all too real. Once the tape starts, you’re not just watching; you’re there. Each world is more terrifying than the last. You try to escape, but the tape keeps playing, pulling you deeper, and there’s no way to stop it. The thing is, you’re not the first. The tapes return, but the people don’t. One by one, they vanish, consumed by the nightmarish worlds they’ve entered. The tapes are cursed, designed to trap souls in an eternal loop of terror.
- And when the tapes are overdue, you’ll pay the late fees with your life!

Dark Road Riders
"It's Not A Hayride, It's An Escape Ride!"
This year, expand your fear by going deeper into the forest than you’ve ever gone before. A crew of survivors trying to keep hidden from the soul sucking hysteria will try their best to help you ESCAPE The Landlord. Our all new ‘larger than life’, Escape Ride experience will be something you don’t want to miss!
*Add-on ticket sold at event only
When The Landlord took hold of the strip mall, people collapsed, their bodies limp, their souls torn from their bodies with every breath he drew. Those who survived fled into the woods, too terrified to look back at the horror swallowing the place they had once worked or frequently shopped. Deep in the trees, the survivors built their camp - plastic tarps strung between branches, shopping carts for barricades, an RV forever camped in their woods. They survived on whatever they could scavenge - half-spoiled snacks, canned foods, and clothing stripped from mannequins. At night, they could hear The Landlord drifting through the treeline, and would flee to their hiding spots. Small groups made runs back to the strip mall, slipping past shattered storefronts to grab food, medicine, and tools. On one such raid, they found others—stragglers hiding in the dark corners. Helping those that they happened upon was dangerous, but necessary. The camp became much more than a refuge—it was a resistance. Every soul saved was one The Landlord could not claim. Their resistance continues, yet saving people requires help along the way, riding along the dark roads.
-Maybe, just maybe their fearless leader can help YOU escape The Landlord as well.

Ame's Apparel
"The Unsolved Mystery!"
Ame’s Apparel is an all new Immersive Theatre Experience at A Petrified Forest that blurs the lines between mystery, comedy and horror. Guests are invited to join a band of “curious” characters to uncover the gruesome truth behind the disappearance of Ame herself.
*Add-on ticket sold at event only - private group shows and touch option upgrade available at Ame's Admission Stand
Long before the strip mall crumbled and The Landlord took over with his wicked reign, Ame Richard and her used clothing store were here. Isolated far and away from it all, Ame’s Apparel still managed to make due, as the loyal townsfolk always found their way back to her. Donations came in and happy customers came out, day after day, year after year…until the day the town fell sick and the creature they call The Landlord suddenly appeared. Cursed with a contract of infinite misery, and disgusted at the price she’d be forced to pay for it all, Ame Richard abandoned her shop and disappeared into the night on February 17th of 2021… no one has seen her since. With such a substantial unpaid debt looming in her wake, Ame Richard remains The Landlord’s most wanted criminal, and the town’s greatest unsolved mystery. All that is left of Ame’s Apparel is an abandoned building filled with whispers of the unknown, “I have a name, you know.” The area is still guarded to this day by The Landlord’s most loyal “more like most annoying” security guard, Norman. “Hey guys, I don’t know who’s writing this cringeworthy, overly dramatic storyline but for real for real, if you wanna know where Ame is, it's chill, just come inside and you will see!”

He Is Here To Expand Your Fear!
The strip mall had once been a bustling place— full of friendly working people and its customers. A café, a toy store, and a video rental store had been some of its tenants. But that was long ago. Now, the faded signs hang sadly, a musty stench seeping into every corner, and the walls cracking from overgrown weeds. It is as if the land had become sick, and the strip mall itself became infected. There is a presence here that lingers, something that shouldn’t be. They call him The Landlord, but no one truly understands where he came from. Some say that he was a creature born of the in-between—neither alive nor dead, but something far more ancient. A being that thrives on decay and on the surrender of souls. Each night, he lurks in the corners of the mall and grows stronger, his hunger never sated. The employees, once just regular people, have fallen to The Landlord’s will. Their eyes hollowed and their movements only mirroring the core memories of their repetitive jobs. Those who now come to the strip mall do not know why... they are drawn by some unnatural pull, unaware of the trap that awaits them. The Landlord rents to you, but with his twisted form of debt collection, the terms are simple: when the bill comes due, the price is steep.
The cost is always the same—your mortal soul.
